I’m so old I remember when I used to get a full buggy of groceries for less than $100. Now for $100 you can fill one of those small carry baskets. It’s amazing how we all hear about cost going down. For the 40 years that I’ve been buying gasoline I don’t remember it ever going back down to where it used to be. Same with a bag of chips. I remember when a bag used to cost .79. And that was the big bag, not one of the little ones you buy at 7-11. Rent for a nice one-bedroom apartment used to be around $700 a month. Now for $1,800.00 a month you can get a one-bedroom apartment with a light show from the police every night. So, then we need more money on our paycheck. We get that and then the company we work for raises its cost to pay for the raise. Sometimes i wonder if living on a deserted island away from all civilization would be better? Could be great but I think I would miss my girl and my scotch.
